About this guide
This answer is wrong. How do I get it fixed?
Open the answer you want to change, press “Suggest an edit”, type what the answer should say, and press “Send for review”. One admin reads every suggestion by hand. Nothing on the site changes until that admin approves it.
Does this apply to me
Anyone. You do not need an account, a name, an email address or a phone number, and the form does not ask for any of them. You do not have to be Filipino, you do not have to live in Barcelona, and nobody checks your immigration status, because nobody is told who you are. If you know that a fee has gone up, an office has moved or a deadline has changed, you know something this guide needs.
What it costs
Free. There is nothing to pay and nothing to join.
What to bring
Three things:
- The corrected wording.
- One or two lines saying what changed or what was unclear.
- A link to the official page that proves it: barcelona.cat, gencat.cat, seg-social.es, inclusion.gob.es, agenciatributaria.es, the consulate’s own site, or whichever office actually runs the procedure.
The link is optional in the form, but it is the thing that gets a change published. A suggestion with a source can be checked in a minute. A suggestion without one has to be researched from scratch, and it waits.
Where to go, and how to send it
- Open the answer. Find it in The FAQ list, or ask Juan to take you to it.
- Press the “Suggest an edit” button under the answer.
- In the box headed “What should the answer say?”, edit the text. It arrives already filled in with the current answer, so change the part that is wrong and leave the rest alone.
- In “What changed, or what could be clearer?”, write one or two lines for the admin.
- Paste the official link into “Source link”.
- Tick the box confirming the text contains no private messages and no personal documents.
- Press “Send for review”.
How long it takes
Sending takes about a minute. The review is done by hand by one person, so it is not instant, and there is no published turnaround time. The answer on the site does not change while it is waiting, so if the information is urgent, do not wait for the guide: go to the official source, and tell the people who need it directly.
What happens next
You see a confirmation screen with an eight-character reference on it. Screenshot that screen. If the admin accepts your change, the answer is republished and its label changes to show it has been reviewed by an admin. The previous version is kept in the site’s history, so a bad edit can be undone. You can also press “Copy link” or “Share on WhatsApp” on any answer to send it to somebody who needs it.
What goes wrong
- The reference is shown once, on that screen, and there is nowhere to look it up afterwards, because the site holds no account for you. Screenshot it before you close the window.
- Your text may be published word for word, so keep personal details out of it. Write “the fee is now €60” rather than “I paid €60 on Tuesday and my case number is”.
- The form accepts ten suggestions an hour from one connection, and then asks you to wait an hour. If you have many corrections, send the most important ones first.

Official source
This site’s own About page, section “How the guide grows”: anyone can read, anyone can suggest, admins review suggestions and check sources, and previous versions are kept so changes can be traced and restored. The steps above were read from the guide’s own source code and match the buttons and boxes on the page.
